Villa-G
We designed this work reconsidering the role of columns in space and consider their meaning.
It is “the story of the pillar,” so to speak.
When designing a building, consideration of pillars and beams is fundamental.
“Reducing the number of pillars as much as possible” may lead to greater spatial freedom.
On the other hand, columns define and create space.
In this work, the presence of columns was actively valued, and the space and atmosphere created by the columns were designed.
Columns not only support floors and walls, but are also closely involved in daily life, such as leaning on them or sitting against them, and are therefore the most important element of a space.
